A key aspect of the site was a steep embankment that presented some interesting challenges, but also enabled the developer to position houses so that homeowners have a spectacular view over the city, particularly at night.
There were a series of interesting challenges the team faced in completing this build.
#1: Steep Terrain Terracing
Our team had to shape the land into a site suitable for construction. Innovative and strategic civil engineering practices enabled our team to excavate, drain and create the first stand so that we had a solid base from which to move forward.
#2: Ground Water
This development was built on very marshy ground which presented us with a series of interesting challenges we needed to overcome.
To start with we removed unstable soil and then installed an extensive sub-soil drainage system that continually syphons water into tanks which are used for irrigation of the complex gardens. This keeps the site dry, and the homes built on it stable.
#3: Road Building
Before any construction vehicles could start on the site, our team needed to create a road system in very soft soil conditions in order for construction vehicles, and eventually resident vehicles, could safely move around the site.
Despite these challenges the Liber Civils team, working with the appointed professional teams on site, completed this project successfully and within the required timeframe.
